Operation Radd-ul-Fassad: Terror bid foiled in Bajaur Agency
A day after a deadly suicide blast in Lahore, Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) conducted on Tuesday an intelligence-based operation (IBO), foiling a major terrorist activity in Bajaur Agency, the military’s media wing reported.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a large cache of arms, ammunition, explosives – including sub-machine guns, RPG 7, fully prepared suicide jackets, remote control bomb, 11 boxes of ball-bearings, grenade and communication equipment, recovered in Duagai area of Tehsil Mamond.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, or Elimination of Discord, was launched in February after a sharp uptick in terrorist attacks in the country.
